Flow of Grace Weekend Immersion with Krishna Das and Nina Rao - Meditation, Chanting & Story-Telling for Entering Into the Presence of the Powerful, Compassionate Being Known as Hanuman.
Whether you are new to or have been chanting for a while, this course will give us a chance to immerse together in the heart-opening practices invoking Hanuman. We will go over the text, pronunciation, meaning of Hanumat Stavan and the Hanuman Chalisa and go deeper with readings from the Sundarakand (the ‘beautiful’ section of the Ramacharitmanasa) and KD’s book “Flow of Grace”. We will spend time discussing how Hanuman lives in our every-day lives, our relationship to practice and the Guru.
This immersion will consist of 6 sessions each with teachings, chanting, Q&A, and readings.

Krishna Das started leading chant at Jivamukti Yoga Center, NYC in 1994. Over the years, he continued chanting, developing his signature style, fusing traditional kirtan of the east with western harmonic and rhythmic sensibilities. The audiences have been ever growing. With a remarkably soulful voice that touches the deepest chord in even the most casual listener, Krishna Das – he has taken the call-and-response chanting out of yoga centers and into concert halls, becoming a worldwide icon and the best-selling western chant artist of all time. KD now travels the world sharing his kirtan practice and wonderful stories of his life, of Maharaji-ji, of his life on the Path, and discusses bringing chanting into our lives through retreats and workshops.
Nina Rao learned traditional chants (bhajans) from her grandfather in a village in south India when she nine years old. The chants quietly stayed with her until she rediscovered chanting with Krishna Das in New York in 1996. Her childhood was spent living in and moving between many countries around the world and when she settled in New York her working life began in the banking world, switched to organizing and leading photographic wildlife safaris in Africa and India, and now for many years, is Krishna Das' business manager and assistant.
